Day 1 of 1 Cusco City Tour: Inca History and Ceremonial Sites
The tour begins with pickup from the hotel or arranged meeting point in Cusco. The experience starts with a visit to Qorikancha, the ancient Temple of the Sun and one of the most important religious spaces of the Tahuantinsuyo. It continues to the archaeological zone on the outskirts of the city to visit Sacsayhuaman, known for its enormous stone walls and panoramic view of Cusco. Then Qenqo, a ceremonial space carved in rock; Puka Pukara, associated with road control; and Tambomachay, linked to the Inca water cult and hydraulic architecture. At the end, return to Cusco.
