Day 1 of 1 Palcoyo Mountain: Colorful Peaks and Light Trek
Early departure from Cusco toward the Palcoyo area. Unlike Vinicunca, this experience usually involves a shorter and more gradual trek, ideal for travelers who want to appreciate colorful mountains with less physical demand. Along the route, high Andean landscapes, communities, camelids, and natural formations can be observed. Upon reaching the main viewpoints, there is time for photographs and contemplation of the landscape. Depending on conditions, the nearby stone forest may also be visited. Then return to transport, lunch stop, and back to Cusco.

We recommend layers: a base layer, a fleece or windbreaker, and a waterproof outer jacket. Also trekking pants, waterproof boots, hat, gloves, and a rain poncho. Temperatures can drop significantly at high altitude even in sunny weather.
